On March 20, 2015, the Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0program made a very important change. Invitations to Apply<\/em> were finally sent to applicants with less than 600 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the first quarter of this year, it was very difficult for the thousands of candidates to qualify because they did not have a job offer, but as of yesterday it is a different situation.<\/p>\n

Since the system was implemented, the number of invitations sent was up to 1200 requests and yesterday for the first time invitations were sent to a considerable number of candidates, 1620 requests were issued and in those there are many people that do not currently have a job offer.<\/p>\n

This may mean a light at the end of the tunnel for many people, because now the candidates can immigrate even if they do not have a pre-approved job offer by the government.<\/p>\n

This seemed like the logical thing to happen because many industries do not have access to LMIAs or a provincial nomination because of how the industry or labour market works.<\/p>\n

For example, for doctors, engineers and other professionals it is almost impossible to obtain a pre-approval of a job offer and it is obvious that these professions are needed in Canada. If the government had continued to process the express entry requests with more than 600 points it would have meant that some industries and professions would be unequal and the system would not cover the country\u2019s demand.<\/p>\n

In this graphic you’ll notice how the process system has been acting and the points used. It is good to know that finally we are at the end\u00a0of the line.<\/p>\n
